The Chocolate Museum Zagreb participated in the Long Night of Museums event on Friday the 27th January 2023 and prepared an exhibition titled “Collecting Cards and Albums – a Forgotten Hobby”. As part of their visit to the Museum’s permanent exhibition, with a promotional ticket price, visitors were be able to see an exhibition about a forgotten hobby from the 20th century, which seems somewhat nostalgic today. Also, as part of the exhibition, an interview with the famous writer Miljenko Jergović, who himself is a great collector of cards and albums, was shown. Visitors were able to learn more about the experience of collectors, the excitement of exchanging collectable cards, or the very reason for collecting stickers. The interview is also available on the Museum’s YouTube channel.
Visitors who wanted to hear more about the history of chocolate had the opportunity to join the guided tours at 17:00 and 20:30 as part of the Long Night of Museums, free of charge, with a purchased ticket.
The ticket price on the day of Museum Night was €6.50 for all age groups, and the Museum’s working hours were from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The discount applied only to tickets bought on the cash register and were only valid that day. The last entrance to the Museum was possible until 21:00.
